This page explains how InKind Media Ltd handles information across its digital products and services, including information used when an organisation connects a Facebook Page to SmartPost or AutoPost.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026
InKind Media Ltd ("InKind Media", "we", "us" or "our") develops and operates digital products designed to help charities, non-profits and other good causes engage supporters, generate income and make better use of donated resources.
Information we may collect
Depending on the service you use, we may collect information supplied directly by you or an authorised representative, such as names, organisation details, email addresses, account preferences and information needed to configure or support a service.
We may also collect limited technical and usage information needed to operate, secure and improve our services, such as browser or device information, service activity, diagnostic information and records of actions carried out through our systems.
How we use information
We use information to provide and administer our products, authenticate authorised users, operate requested integrations, deliver support, maintain security, diagnose problems, measure service performance and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. We may use reputable service providers where necessary to host, secure, communicate, analyse or operate our services. Information may also be processed by third-party platforms when you deliberately connect or use those platforms with an InKind Media service.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to operate the relevant service, resolve disputes, maintain appropriate records or meet legal requirements. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to the processing of your personal information. To make a privacy request, contact info@inkindmedia.com.
Support&Shop HOME Browser Extension
Support&Shop HOME is a browser extension that replaces the Chrome new tab page with a personalised Support&Shop HOME page for the user’s chosen cause.
Browser and website information
To provide its retailer functionality, the extension may access the address (URL) of websites being visited so it can determine whether a destination is a participating retailer and apply the appropriate Support&Shop functionality. This access is not used to create or maintain a profile of the user’s browsing history.
Saved preferences
The extension stores preferences needed to personalise Support&Shop HOME, such as the user’s selected cause, saved favourite retailers and other HOME settings. These preferences allow the personalised new tab page to be restored between browser sessions.
Frequently visited sites
Support&Shop HOME may optionally request permission to access the browser’s frequently visited sites so the user can choose to add those sites to their HOME favourites. This permission is optional and is only requested when the user chooses to use that feature.
Use and sharing of extension data
Information accessed by the extension is used only to provide and support Support&Shop HOME functionality. InKind Media does not sell extension user data, use it for creditworthiness or lending purposes, or use or transfer it for purposes unrelated to the extension’s functionality.
Facebook, SmartPost & AutoPost
Some InKind Media services allow an authorised representative of an organisation to connect a Facebook Page so that approved or scheduled content can be published to that Page.
Information received from Meta
When you choose to connect Facebook, Meta may provide information required for the connection, which can include your public profile information, the Facebook Pages you are authorised to manage, Page names and IDs, Page access tokens and the permissions you approve.
How this information is used
We use Facebook data only to provide the functionality you have authorised. This may include identifying the Page you select, maintaining its authorised connection, publishing, editing or deleting content where permitted, recording publishing status and diagnosing failed publishing attempts.
SmartPost and AutoPost do not obtain permission to publish to an organisation's Page unless an authorised Facebook user completes Meta's authorisation process and grants the relevant permissions.
Access tokens
Facebook access tokens are treated as credentials. They are used only to perform authorised Facebook functionality and are not sold or made available to advertisers. Access may stop if a token expires, is revoked, permissions change or the connection is disconnected.
Disconnecting Facebook
You may revoke InKind Media's Facebook access through your Facebook/Meta settings. Where an InKind Media service provides a disconnect control, you may also use that control to end the connection. Revoking or disconnecting access prevents future publishing once the revocation has taken effect.
User Data Deletion
If you want information associated with an InKind Media service deleted, email info@inkindmedia.com with the subject Data Deletion Request.
Please identify the organisation and, where relevant, the Facebook Page or InKind Media product concerned so that we can locate the correct records. We may need to verify that you are authorised to make the request before deleting organisation or Page connection data.
For a Facebook-connected service, deletion can include stored Facebook Page identifiers, connection records, access credentials held by our service, publishing preferences and associated operational records, except where limited information must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal or accounting purposes.
You can separately remove the app or revoke permissions through Facebook/Meta. Revoking access at Meta prevents our service from continuing to use that authorisation even before a deletion request is processed.
Terms of Use
By using an InKind Media website, product or service, you agree to use it lawfully and only for purposes for which you are authorised.
Organisation and Page authority
If you connect, configure or manage a service for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to act for that organisation. If you connect a Facebook Page, you confirm that you are authorised to grant the requested permissions for that Page.
Third-party services
Our products may integrate with or link to third-party platforms, retailers, affiliate networks and other services. Those services operate under their own terms and policies. Availability and functionality provided by third parties may change without our control.
Service availability
We aim to operate our services reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may update, suspend or modify functionality where reasonably necessary for security, compliance, maintenance or product development.
